Release: Blood of the Wicked

We’re here, book 2 of the Everly Abbott series, my Supernatural Thriller-Urban Fantasy Romance with vampires, murder, and a computer nerd.

If you read Servant of the Blood, you probably figured out that no one is safe. This absolutely continues into book 2 as Everly dives deeper into the world of the Tribunal and the vampires in it.

You know, one thing I really wanted from this series was vampires that could do it two ways. I want sexy vampires AND I wanted scary vampires. I wanted the immortal men and women you could maybe fall in love with and the ones that reminded you that they are monsters that feed on people. Then there are those who are both, and you know, those are my favorite ones. That continues through Blood of the Wicked, as I bend what genre means and who a main character can be.

Note: No spoiler blog this time around, most because I have surgery in 2 days and really need to take the time off after it. Head to Facebook for the spoiler event hosted in my reader’s group to talk to other readers who have finished.

Okay, let’s get to the book!

Blood of the Wicked, Everly Abbott Book 2 by K.N. Banet

I once worked for vampires. I’d never thought I’d be one.

My throat is always on fire. My mouth is always dry. The only thing that helps?

Human blood.

As much as vampires need it, it is also our curse. Blood can drive us mad if we’re not careful. That madness breeds a wickedness as the need for blood reigns supreme. We revel in it, desiring the power and vitality it gives us. When we drain someone, we get high; it’s a rush that some vampires love to chase once they cross that line. Vampires will do anything to get it and there’s nothing that will stop them from killing hundreds. Our humanity slips away the more we indulge the need and there is no way to regain it.

Alexius makes it his duty to kill any vampire that loses control and I’ve promised to help him. After months, I get to help on my first case, just like I wanted to the night I woke up as an immortal.

I thought I knew what sort of vampires we’d be stopping. I didn’t think about how bad things could get.

My name is Everly Abbott…
And the wicked really do know no bounds.
