The follow up to my surgery has gone really well. Wrap, bandage, sutures, all gone!
I mean, it’s not 100% perfect. I get to spend a week trying to regain full range of mobility myself and if I cannot, I get to call and schedule physical therapy. This isn’t the most pressing for everyone here. I need to rebuild some endurance and strength as well. It’s really not the end of the world now that the wrap is off. Now I’m told to move back into normal with a new 5 inch scar forming, and hopefully in the next few months, the nerve damage will heal. It could take up to a year or never fully come back. The biggest win is that it shouldn’t get worse any longer.
Tomorrow, I get back to work. I was given the clear to do anything except soak the arm (so no hot baths with it under water and no swimming in the pool).
I can bend my elbow again, though. FREEDOM.
Excellent news. It’s great to hear you sound so happy and positive!
Excitedly anticipating your next book, I’ll be waiting patiently. Cheers!
Glad for you!!!
Si happy for you 🎉 Celebrate your freedom in whatever way that brings you joy.
YEAH!!!!! But I keep saying this take care of you first and DON’T rush it…take it easy your loyal followers will still be here and if their not, then they weren’t loyal….we want you to heal and get better so you can write…we don’t want you in pain while writing, yes we want to know what happens but not at the cost of you…..much love from a winery Minnesota at the end of March
I’m so happy for you! I hope you continue to recover well.
Physical therapy can work miracles. Hope your PT goes as good as mine. I recovered completely. The burning pain is totally gone. Good luck
Right now, the hope is that I don’t need official PT.
It’s great to hear you are recovering! Hope it continues to improve for you!
